Upcoming schedule at life’s journey Wellness

We have put together a schedule for the series of Care4U Stress Balance workshop classes, over the next few months. Each class covers a category of the life balance assessment chart. Every participant will go home with great resources, tools, and personal assessments to be more empowered to accomplish, with a focus on what they want to accomplish. There is also a great incentive “self-care” contest to carry us through the next 30 days, until the next class. We will have some great rewards for those that participate. How awesome is it to be rewarded for taking care of ourselves??

But the reality is that we do not. So many I speak with are care-givers in some capacity, whether at work, as in the medical industry, or at home with family. Many ladies I meet are so overwhelmed with the many obligations they feel for others, that they place themselves last.

This series is designed to help us realize how much more we can offer to others when we take some time and prioritize taking good care of ourself. We will be  a better mom, wife, business-owner, employee, friend, and we will have peace through ANY storm we may encounter.

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for others around us, is make sure are taking proper care of ourselves.

 Whew! What a night! Since the Significance event was held in a corporate office bldg, we got off to a late start, after the offices had closed down. Maybe next time we can get in there earlier, but I could not have pulled this off last night without the help of so many fabulous women who came in, rolled up their sleeves, and all participated to get food out, gift baskets finished and displayed (Barbara even was workin the hot glue gun!) and goody bags filled with each other’s promotional gifts and contact info. It all came together nicely, and I think we all would have enjoyed another 2 hrs of connecting, but it did have to end. Raffling the baskets was a success, and so many went home with great prizes. Miss kathy and friends arrived all decked out from a HIGH TEA, and walked out with an entire area rug on her shoulder!

I read a section of his book, which happens to be a more poignant and eloquent version of a message I shared for years as I spoke to women’s groups. I am off to to mommy things today, with laundry, baksetball practice, a wrestling match, and more laundry, but so relieved that everyone was able to benefit and expand their connections and inspiration for the season. Thanks to so many beautiful women!!

Significance

This is a busy season. I really have more multi-tasking on my plate than the average person can fathom.
But as I have been meeting new faces and talking with others in my community of Clay County, Fl, I have noticed how much others are asking for, and longing for opportunities to expand and grow their business through networking. I think we will see many professionals who really need to work right on through the holidays.

To even pay for the holidays themselves.

But especially to expand and grow their business. Relationships are so key for us, not just in business, but in our emotional and spiritual life as well. We cannot go it alone.

As I used to speak at women’s events for about 4 years,  I shared on overcoming grief and loss, encouraging others on how to “BE There” for others during the holidays, which are an especially difficult time for so many.

Well, here is my chance to do just that as well.

I am hosting an event called “Significance – A Coffee and Connect”. It will be for the women of Clay County.  Others outside of Clay county are welcome too if they desire to grow relationships in the county area.

Friday December 11th, 6:30-8 PM

330 Crossing Blvd. off Wells Rd. 3rd floor Conference center

Significance will be a unique women’s holiday event for business groups, individuals and owners to share insight, knowledge and experience while establishing new relationships for 2010. Our purpose is to nurture a sense of community and connection that encourages generosity.

 Tickets are $5 In advance, $10 at the door.

We will enjoy Coffee and catered desserts, gift basket raffles, a business material table, and networking.

 *Please bring 2 non-perishable items that will benefit The Agape House Food Pantry.
